Water Financial was founded by Chris Loker in 2010 as a project to establish a South African bank channelling investment funding towards projects and organisations that are changing the world for the better, driven by a desire to “do” money better.

After years of successful programmes in renewable energy and environmental financing, catalysing poverty alleviation and social entrepreneurship, together with community development, the company has focussed since 2020 on the financial plight of retirees.

Money, like water, is omnipresent and the “elixir” of life; powerful; comes in a variety of forms and is a limited resource that should be preserved and utilised to its full potential.
